Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reporting in a top 20 market
  • Exceptional reporting, writing, and interviewing skills
  • Ability to source and generate impactful enterprise leads, and create impactful content utilizing the latest investigative tools, including data journalism
  • Tenacious ability to uncover stories through investigation and research
  • Expert in telling high-impact stories and in breaking news coverage, demonstrated in the field
  • Ability to report, write, capture visual content, edit, and produce stories for multiple platforms on deadline (owned and distributed digital, streaming, and social platforms)
  • Active in using social media for promotion and news gathering
  • Demonstrated ability to move the audience between linear and digital platforms
  • Collaborative self-starter
  • Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
  • Strong commitment to the community, expected to represent the station and participate in various community events
  • Open to working early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred: Fluency in a second language
