Requirements

Strategic technology leadership experience in designing, operating, and evolving platform and cloud runtime environments
Expertise in cloud architecture, SRE/hosting, platform shared services (API gateway, secrets, CI/CD runners, feature flags), observability, FinOps, vendor/MSP oversight, and production readiness
Ability to partner with Enterprise Architecture and Security on multi-cloud landing zones, reference architecture, security posture, network topology, and integration patterns
Senior leadership experience reporting to SVP level (e.g., SVP Global CIO)
Capability to hire, mentor, and lead cloud, SRE, platform engineering, and operations teams, including defining career paths and scaling for 24x7 support

Responsibilities

Define and evolve cloud strategy & architecture, including multi-cloud landing zone, platform reference architecture, security posture, network topology, and integration patterns
Own production availability & SRE, including SRE model, on-call/responder rosters, SLO/SLA targets, incident response playbooks, post-incident reviews, and MTTR/MTTD improvement programs
Deliver and run platform shared services (API gateway, secrets management, service discovery, logging/metrics/tracing, CI/CD runners, feature flagging) as self-service for product and business teams
Implement observability & telemetry, including centralized logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, health/capacity dashboards, and automated alerting thresholds
Drive platform operations & automation, including IaC, automated provisioning, deployment pipelines, blue/green/canary patterns, automated rollbacks, and runbook automation
Enforce cloud governance & FinOps, including tagging, cost allocation, right-sizing, budget controls, capacity planning, and FinOps practices
Manage vendor & MSP oversight, including hyperscaler, hosting, network, and managed services vendors; negotiate SLAs, track scorecards, and run operational business reviews
Own production readiness & cutover support, including production readiness gates, cutover rehearsals, rollback plans, and validation of NFRs (performance, scalability, security)
Implement security & compliance enablement, including platform controls (patching, backup/DR, IAM integration) and supplying audit evidence
Lead team leadership & capability build, including hiring, mentoring, defining career paths, and scaling the organization
Drive continuous improvement, including reliability engineering, chaos testing, and performance tuning
