Requirements

  • Proven track record in new business sales leadership within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector
  • Deep understanding of the Northern European payments landscape, including regulatory environment and key market players
  • Strong network of contacts across retail, hospitality verticals in the region
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for pipeline and performance management
  • Willingness to travel across the region as required

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and develop a team of new business sales professionals across Northern Europe. Set clear targets, monitor performance, and foster a culture of high achievement and collaboration
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for new business growth, identifying key verticals, target accounts, and partnership opportunities
  • Personally lead on major deals and support the team in complex negotiations. Ensure robust pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and achievement of ambitious growth targets
  • Identify and support strategic partnerships (e.g., with payment processors, technology vendors, and industry associations) to accelerate market entry and enhance Planet’s value proposition
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure Planet’s solutions meet evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements in the region
  • Use Salesforce and other tools to monitor team activity, pipeline health, and individual performance. Lead regular reviews and provide coaching and support for continuous improvement
  • Stay abreast of payment industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes in Northern Europe. Provide insights to inform Planet’s product and commercial strategy
  • Represent Planet Payments at industry events, conferences, and with key clients and partners
