Proven leadership in building and developing a Financial Analysis Team
Skills in developing strategy and processes for financial analysis functions
Expertise in providing critical business insight and actionable analysis
Experience serving as interface between Data Analytics & Insights Team, Finance, and Business Units on financial controls

Responsibilities

Continuously analyze performance of GreatAmerica and its Business Units, identifying opportunities, trends, and concerns, and develop/implement plans with leadership
Make recommendations to leadership on cost-saving, profit-generating opportunities, and profitability improvement strategies
Play key role in establishing key performance measures and delivering business insight/actionable analysis to drive favorable outcomes
Lead development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Financial Analysis Team
Lead Financial Analysis Team members, including establishing development plans, individual goals, and team alignment
Ensure team develops high-quality decision-supporting financial models and analytical tools for stakeholders
Ensure team serves as key leaders in development of Business Unit operating and financial strategies
Ensure team provides financial advice, actionable analysis, and leadership on operating initiatives
Ensure team leads development of Business Unit financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
Facilitate leadership of company’s financial planning and budgeting processes
Support strategic project analysis for corporate and Business Unit opportunities
Lead special studies and ad hoc analysis for complex financial issues, preparing recommendations on policy, procedure, control, or action
Involvement in key areas with significant financial implications (e.g., pricing, compensation plans, staffing levels)
