Responsibilities

  • Continuously analyze performance of GreatAmerica and its Business Units, identifying opportunities, trends, and concerns, and develop/implement plans with leadership
  • Make recommendations to leadership on cost-saving, profit-generating opportunities, and profitability improvement strategies
  • Play key role in establishing key performance measures and delivering business insight/actionable analysis to drive favorable outcomes
  • Lead development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Financial Analysis Team
  • Lead Financial Analysis Team members, including establishing development plans, individual goals, and team alignment
  • Ensure team develops high-quality decision-supporting financial models and analytical tools for stakeholders
  • Ensure team serves as key leaders in development of Business Unit operating and financial strategies
  • Ensure team provides financial advice, actionable analysis, and leadership on operating initiatives
  • Ensure team leads development of Business Unit financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Facilitate leadership of company’s financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Support strategic project analysis for corporate and Business Unit opportunities
  • Lead special studies and ad hoc analysis for complex financial issues, preparing recommendations on policy, procedure, control, or action
  • Involvement in key areas with significant financial implications (e.g., pricing, compensation plans, staffing levels)
