Requirements

  • Highly qualified, state certified educator (TX certification for Social Science)
  • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
  • Maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday (typically 8:00am-5:00pm or as defined by district/consumer needs)
  • On-camera presentation and direct engagement with students
  • Flexible scheduling for 10 months following academic school year; summer/weekend options based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specific Social Science course content in an online, virtual environment via live and asynchronous instruction
  • Support, guide, and manage the learning process focusing on students’ individual needs
  • Grade lessons, provide feedback, and handle parent/student messaging and interaction with local school representatives
  • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals
  • Facilitate student engagement, encourage discussion, ensure progress, and develop rapport for shared accountability
  • Facilitate combinations of: Flexible Virtual Learning (grading, messaging, live help/overview sessions), Enhanced Virtual Learning (daily scheduled sessions within school day), Targeted Skills Instruction (tutoring/small group interventions), Special Education (IEP-based instruction), and additional services like standalone grading/class coverage
