Candidates must have 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles, including experience scaling engineering teams through high-growth phases. A proven track record of building and leading engineering teams of 30+ engineers across multiple products or domains is required. Experience with CRM platforms, SaaS applications, or customer data management systems, including an understanding of data privacy and security requirements, is necessary. A strong background in AI/ML product development, with experience building customer-facing AI features such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, or AI-powered user experiences, is essential. Experience implementing AI-powered development tools and workflows to enhance team productivity and code quality is also required. Technical expertise across modern web technologies (.NET Framework, Node.js, React) and AWS cloud infrastructure, along with experience managing complex technical integrations and platform modernization in production environments, is needed.
The Vice President of Engineering will lead and scale a high-performing engineering organization focused on CRM and donor management solutions for nonprofits. They will drive technical execution of platform modernization initiatives and contribute to and execute the AI-native product strategy, building co-pilot and agent capabilities. This role involves revolutionizing how engineering teams approach problem-solving and software development by integrating AI-powered tools to deliver higher quality solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with Product leadership to develop predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and AI-powered features, establishing technical roadmaps that balance CRM platform stability with innovative AI product development, and ensuring secure, scalable donor data management while maintaining high standards for data protection and privacy compliance. The VP will also build and mentor engineering leadership, foster a culture of innovation and rapid execution, and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver high-quality software on aggressive timelines. Driving technical decision-making across .NET Framework, Node.js, and modern web technology stacks on AWS infrastructure is also a key responsibility.
