Requirements

Candidates should possess 7-10 years of fundamental credit research experience within a leveraged loan/high yield environment, with distressed debt/restructuring experience being a plus. They must have advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bloomberg, along with a developed understanding of financial and accounting concepts and the ability to build and maintain financial models.

Responsibilities

The Vice President, Credit Analyst will independently perform due diligence and fundamental credit analysis across identified issuers and sectors within the syndicated loan market, preparing credit memos and presenting investment recommendations to the Investment Committee. They will evaluate and make recommendations on new primary issuance, including issuer business models, industry dynamics, and financial performance. Additionally, they will make buy and sell recommendations on existing portfolio issuers, supported by detailed analysis of quarterly financial performance and sector developments. The role involves frequent communication with portfolio managers, traders, and issuer management teams, as well as participation in distressed/restructuring situations and assistance with handling Voya’s European CLOs.
