Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and evolution of Backcountry's cross-brand design system with a focus on clarity, scalability, and accessibility
  • Drive discovery with product and engineering by researching user needs, mapping journeys, and identifying opportunities
  • Design customer experiences across the full funnel including exploration, evaluation, purchase, and post-purchase
  • Prototype quickly using AI-native tools that support generative exploration, automated insights, and rapid iteration
  • Conduct and synthesize research through user interviews, testing, surveys, and behavioral analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering in a scrum environment to ensure high-quality implementation and alignment from concept to launch
  • Partner with marketing to unify brand expression and improve consistency across campaigns and site experiences
