Position Overview

Through WFS, sellers can leverage Walmart's advanced fulfillment infrastructure to streamline operations and improve delivery to customers. In this fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that push the boundaries of e Commerce and fulfillment, driving Walmart's digital growth.

Focusing on customer, associate, and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico, and South Africa, to name a few.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.
• Collaborate with team members to develop best practices and client requirements for the software.
• Professionally maintain all codes, best practices, and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns.
• Analyze and test programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance.
• Review design and code, provide technical solutions to the team for complex requirements.
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently in a high-pace, high-impact environment.
• Develop programs that monitor the sharing of private information to ensure software security.
• Seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.
• Support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Programming Experience:
  • 10 years of object-oriented programming experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React.
  • Python knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Cloud & Data Technologies:
  • Experience working in Azure SQL, Cosmos, Blob Storage, GCS, Hive, Apache Spark, and Airflow.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• System Design & Algorithms:
  • Good understanding of Data Structures.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems design, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Methodologies & Tools:
  • Experience working in Agile Methodology.
  • Experience using CI/CD, tools for logging and metrics.
  • Experience working with logging and application monitoring stacks: Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk etc.
• AI Integration: Expected to integrate AI-powered assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI systems) into daily workflows to streamline development tasks, accelerate decision support, and improve overall efficiency.
• Industry Experience: Preferably programming experience in the Finance/Retail/eCommerce industry.
• Continuous Improvement: A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies.
• Development Discipline: A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
• Core Contribution: Experience being a core contributor to a software project: understanding domain and business requirements, being responsible for critical parts of the application.
