Requirements
- Provides pharmaceutical care to customers including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and maintaining controlled medication and required documentation
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others
- Supports and aligns efforts to meet customer and business needs and builds commitment for perspectives and rationales
- Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques
- Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity
- Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas
- Maintains confidential information, documentation, and assigned records as required by company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines
- Provides comprehensive patient care including administering immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations
- Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicates clear expectations regarding quality of care and patient safety
- Ensures counseling and providing information related to health services occurs on new therapy, new items, and as requested or required
- Analyzes and identifies areas of improvement and implements intervention steps to improve team knowledge and focus on patient safety and risk reduction
- Promotes reporting and transparency of errors and writes timely and effective plans of action focused on root cause identification and correction
- Creates and fosters an environment centered on health care compliance execution; actively communicates, trains, and guides compliance processes
- Implements compliance initiatives and monitors execution by others; ensures operational execution of billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and SOPs
- Utilizes auditing processes to identify compliance issues and implement improvement processes

Responsibilities
- Process and accurately dispense prescription orders
- Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
- Maintain confidential information and controlled medication documentation
- Provide expert advice and guidance to others in applying information and best practices
- Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to implement business solutions
- Identify business needs, determine and carry out necessary processes, monitor progress, and adapt to changes
- Model and enforce proper customer service to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines
- Incorporate ethics and integrity into business plans and use the Open Door Policy
- Analyze and interpret reports, implement loss prevention and safety controls, oversee reviews, and develop action plans
- Administer immunizations and other Walmart programs in compliance with regulations
- Hold others accountable for following SOPs and achieving quality and patient safety goals
- Ensure appropriate documentation of counseling and health service information
- Train and guide associates on compliance initiatives, billing, HIPAA, and SOPs
- Monitor compliance execution and utilize auditing for improvements
