Requirements

  • Compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations

  • Sound financial management skills, including interpreting, analyzing, and explaining financial data

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and other Walmart programs
  • Drive sales and profit in Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, instock, inventory levels, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Model, enforce, and guide Associates on proper customer service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
  • Oversee implementation of and participate in community outreach programs; encourage Associates to serve as good community members
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention/safety controls, and overseeing reviews/action plans
  • Supervise and develop Associates through selection, training, mentoring, assigning duties, performance feedback, recognition, and promoting belonging
  • Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per Company and legal guidelines
  • Manage Pharmacy Operations: conduct Associate meetings, align with Company/regulatory standards, ensure adherence to policies for advising/verifying/dispensing, document changes and share information
  • Oversee Inventory Flow: monitor processes, identify merchandise needs, evaluate facility for problems
  • Manage Finances: manage budgets, align with business needs, comply with financial policies, monitor data/trends for opportunities
  • Promote Quality Patient Care: create culture of safety/accuracy, set expectations, ensure SOP adherence, provide counseling/documentation, analyze/improve team knowledge on patient safety/risk reduction
