Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of trailers to designated locations in collaboration with Warehouse Management
- Conduct thorough inspections of Walmart trucks and trailers to ensure optimal mechanical performance, safety standards, and emergency equipment readiness
- Maintain proper fuel levels and perform regular trailer inventory checks
- Ensure quality and compliance by maintaining accurate records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Operate tractor/trailer units safely, adhering to all safety requirements and placing trailers in designated locations
- Complete work assignments and prioritize tasks using company policies, data, and available resources
- Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations
- Communicate progress and relevant information effectively
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to changes and feedback
- Embrace differences, build relationships, support team development, act with integrity, deliver customer service, and strive for excellence
