Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the movement of trailers to designated locations in collaboration with Warehouse Management
  • Conduct thorough inspections of Walmart trucks and trailers to ensure optimal mechanical performance, safety standards, and emergency equipment readiness
  • Maintain proper fuel levels and perform regular trailer inventory checks
  • Ensure quality and compliance by maintaining accurate records, logs, and forms, including those required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Operate tractor/trailer units safely, adhering to all safety requirements and placing trailers in designated locations
  • Complete work assignments and prioritize tasks using company policies, data, and available resources
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations
  • Communicate progress and relevant information effectively
  • Identify and recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to changes and feedback
