Requirements

  • Maintains highest standards of quality and food safety by monitoring, testing, recording, and reacting to data on products, production, processes, and quality (e.g., Critical Control Points, Key Performance Indexes)
  • Verifies raw materials and finished products comply with federal, state, and company specifications
  • Produces accurate results while multitasking in a fast-paced work environment
  • Anticipates problems or conflicts and maintains a proactive approach
  • Uses policies, data, and resources to complete assignments and priorities; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners

  • Maintains knowledge of laboratory functions (e.g., operations, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair) through cross-training in Food Safety QA roles (e.g., MSS Validation Coordinator, Sanitation Specialist, Quality Systems Specialist, Micro Technician)
  • Sustains calibration program for instruments and equipment
  • Utilizes continuous improvement mindset: identifies/corrects process improvements, conducts statistical process control and root cause analysis, participates in improvement projects
  • Embraces differences, creates inclusive culture, builds team relationships, communicates positively, mentors others

Responsibilities

  • Verify compliance of raw materials and finished products with specifications
  • Complete work assignments using policies, data, resources; collaborate and communicate on priorities and improvements
  • Comply with policies, procedures, ethics; implement action plans
  • Maintain lab knowledge through cross-training and sustain equipment calibration
  • Assist in process improvements via statistical process control, root cause analysis, and projects
  • Promote Food Safety, Sanitation, Quality Management Systems, Product Quality QA/QC
  • Build inclusive team environment, mentor others, communicate impactfully
  • Model integrity, ethics, Walmart values; support regenerative goals
  • Deliver customer-first results, balance priorities for stakeholders
