Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program
  • Serious about entering the Insurance industry (preference for majors in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Risk Management or similar disciplines)
  • Keen to learn and pay attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
  • Highly collaborative and versatile, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Responsibilities

  • Manage underwriting pipeline activity for new and renewal business
  • Identify missing or incomplete information in Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Utilize pricing model to develop manual and experience rates for excess medical business
  • Assist in Key Performance Indicator tracking, including close ratio, persistency, and RFP volume
  • Ensure work product is compliant with internal guidelines
  • Complete additional actuarial projects as required, such as "laser" analysis, experience studies, and support in the population of the RFP database
