Requirements

  • Minimum of three years related work experience
  • Experience in accounting or financial reporting is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Finance or Accounting degree is preferred)
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of brokerage accounting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and relevant regulations
  • Experience with accounting software packages, cash management software packages, or other Treasury Management Systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages the liquidity of the broker-dealer entity through a robust daily forecasting process
  • Leverages data to make time-sensitive liquidity borrowing decisions
  • Accurately processes wires by required deadlines to various internal and external parties
  • Prepares and performs required daily customer reserve calculation in accordance with related regulatory requirements
  • Researches and resolves operational impacts to the customer reserve in partnership with business partners
  • Prepares and performs required daily deposits into and withdrawals from the customer reserve bank account to properly protect customer assets
  • Partners with internal business lines and settlement banks to resolve balance and fund movement inquiries
  • Supports daily net capital computations and management reporting of broker-dealer liquidity drivers
  • Supports internal and external audit processes with a specific focus on the daily customer reserve computations and cash management functions
  • Maintains policies and procedures
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
