Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, process, and resolve freight claims related to damage, shortage, loss, or delayed delivery across multiple transport lanes (Plants ➡ Customers, Vendors ➡ Plants / Distribution Centers, Plants ➡ Plants / DCs, DCs ➡ DCs / DCs ➡ Customers)
  • Analyze contracts (e.g., Incoterms, vendor agreements) to assess liability and ensure accurate settlement
  • Negotiate claim values and lead collection efforts within authorized limits; escalate high-impact cases as needed
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, insurance providers, engineers, and legal teams for swift and compliant resolutions
  • Maintain detailed documentation using MyEZClaim, SAP Quality Notes transactions, and internal claims management tools
  • Develop and implement a global freight claims process, including project planning, change management, and stakeholder alignment
  • Drive continuous improvement with fulfillment sites and transportation partners to reduce future claims
  • Monitor claim trends, recovery rates, and financial impact through reporting and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations such as the Carmack Amendment, Montreal Convention, and FMCSA guidelines
