Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Ability to leverage digital tools, handheld technology, and be an early adopter of new tools for sales, service, and engagement
  • Expertise in operational excellence, inventory management, expense controls, staffing, scheduling, cash register operations, and transaction processing
  • Skills in training, teaching, monitoring e-learnings, identifying talent, developing skills, and sourcing new talent internally and externally
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and implement processes by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvements
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity standards, Open Door Policy, and compliance action plans

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Tire and Battery Center team to deliver on the business plan and contribute to club success
  • Communicate department goals, set guidelines/expectations, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and company
  • Maintain and share expertise; train team on processes, new products, technologies; leverage learning resources and attend training/conferences for continuous improvement
  • Leverage digital tools to plan/drive sales, improve service experience, elevate associate engagement; use handheld tech for real-time decisions on services, safety, products, and training
  • Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain neat/clean/safe work area, proactively plan/order equipment/tools/supplies with expense controls, track returns/special orders, assist in staffing/scheduling, operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hands-on in the area
  • Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety/compliance standards, complete paperwork/logs/documentation, and model member service commitment
  • Train/teach team for effectiveness, monitor e-learnings/trainings completion, identify/develop potential, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Demonstrate, promote, support compliance with policies/procedures/ethics by explaining, guiding, implementing action plans, using Open Door Policy, and assisting with corrections
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources/tools, determining needs/priorities, coordinating/executing assignments, providing advice/feedback/support, ensuring timelines/quality, and modeling adaptation to change/challenges
