Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field (implied for therapist role)
  • Licensure or in-training licensure as a therapist (eligible for retention bonus based on licensure status)
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM in acute care settings)

Responsibilities

  • Lead collaboration among interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services interventions for assigned patients and support systems
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using empirically supported techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, family therapy)
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and challenges
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals; facilitate treatment team meetings and guide implementation of clinical interventions
  • Provide counseling and support incorporating evidence-based techniques to manage symptoms, improve well-being, and address in-the-moment needs in the milieu
  • Educate patients on mental health/substance use conditions, self-care strategies, treatment options, costs/benefits of engagement, and aftercare plans
  • Document patient progress, therapy sessions, goals, and interventions within required timeframes
  • Collaborate with treatment team members (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers, case managers) to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, maintain confidentiality, and create a safe/supportive environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Perform other duties as directed by manager/clinical operations supervisor to support patient care and system initiatives
