Requirements

Ability to lead collaboration among an interdisciplinary team
Proficiency in empirically supported therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, family therapy)
Experience or capability to work in acute care settings (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient)
Adherence to ethical guidelines and confidentiality

Understanding of Joint Commission, State, and regulatory compliance
Professional conduct, assertive and accurate communication, and receptiveness to feedback
Ability to support staffing/scheduling changes and participate in clinical initiatives

Responsibilities

Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
Assess patients' needs through comprehensive assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans and facilitate treatment team meetings
Provide counseling and support using evidence-based techniques in sessions and milieu
Educate patients on mental health/substance use conditions, self-care, and treatment options
Document patient progress, sessions, goals, and interventions within required timelines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (internally and externally) for coordinated care
Report and document suspected cases of physical, sexual abuse, and/or neglect per law and policy
Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary collaboration and support system initiatives
Ensure patient and facility safety
Participate in professional development and clinical projects for continuous improvement
Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining knowledge of department processes
