Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Pursuing Technical associate's degree, preferred
  • Ability to stand regularly
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance frequently
  • Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear occasionally
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
  • Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
  • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
  • May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
