System Reliability Test Engineer
Symbotic- Full Time
- Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates must possess a BS in mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, robotics, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, best practices, and analysis methods, including analytical first principles, numerical methods, and simulation modeling is required. Field experience in operating, maintaining, diagnosing, testing, and repairing electro-mechanical systems is essential, as well as proficiency in CAD modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) on various electro-mechanical structures and systems. Candidates should be able to work effectively in both collaborative and independent environments, with preferred experience in autonomous vehicles or marine systems.
The Test Engineer will understand technical requirements and develop solutions that meet client briefs. They will engage in engineering, designing, and prototype development for electro-mechanical systems and software for autonomous vehicles. Responsibilities include conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports, as well as developing design documents for parts and integrated systems. The engineer will select tools and materials for manufacturing and maintenance processes, integrate electro-mechanical systems into fully integrated systems, and lead testing efforts in laboratory and marine environments. Additionally, they will identify trends in runtime and failures of components and subsystems through data analysis, and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
Develops advanced autonomous surface vessels
Saronic Technologies develops Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) that enhance the capabilities of naval and maritime forces. These vessels utilize adaptive path planning, passive sensors, and advanced algorithms, along with edge computing, to effectively identify and track targets. They are designed to operate in challenging environments, using resilient multichannel communications to support both manned and unmanned operations. Saronic Technologies differentiates itself by focusing on military and defense clients, aiming to improve situational awareness, extend operational reach, and enhance survivability during maritime missions. The company's goal is to provide solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing operational strategies or support new maritime tactics, generating revenue through the sale of ASVs and related customization services.
