Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS in mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, robotics, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, best practices, and analysis methods, including analytical first principles, numerical methods, and simulation modeling is required. Field experience in operating, maintaining, diagnosing, testing, and repairing electro-mechanical systems is essential, as well as proficiency in CAD modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) on various electro-mechanical structures and systems. Candidates should be able to work effectively in both collaborative and independent environments, with preferred experience in autonomous vehicles or marine systems.

Responsibilities

The Test Engineer will understand technical requirements and develop solutions that meet client briefs. They will engage in engineering, designing, and prototype development for electro-mechanical systems and software for autonomous vehicles. Responsibilities include conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports, as well as developing design documents for parts and integrated systems. The engineer will select tools and materials for manufacturing and maintenance processes, integrate electro-mechanical systems into fully integrated systems, and lead testing efforts in laboratory and marine environments. Additionally, they will identify trends in runtime and failures of components and subsystems through data analysis, and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
