Requirements

  • Experience operating in Airside Environments
  • Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments
  • Valid US Class C Driver's License, with 3+ years of driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role, demonstrating superior responsibility
  • Reliable, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills
  • Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor autonomous vehicle performance
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Ability to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating an autonomous vehicle, or overseeing operations of autonomous machinery
  • Experience with safety-critical infrastructure
  • Basic computer programming skills (ROS experience is a plus)
  • Interest in autonomous driving and aviation
  • Test driving experience
  • Familiarity with the layout and cargo operations of ATL

Responsibilities

  • Operate AeroVect's autonomous vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics
  • Supervise autonomous baggage tugs while in operation, and manually drive them to and from their storage depot
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicles and their hardware systems
  • Work with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features
  • Interface with those interacting with the vehicle on the route, as cargo and baggage are loaded for the vehicle to transport
  • Lend your expertise to the improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenarios
