Requirements

  • Ability to develop and manage established and new customers by selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals
  • Capability to own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model

  • Skills in managing deliveries to routing schedules and troubleshooting order process problems (e.g., delivery mispicks, short loads, stock-outs)
  • Knowledge of market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales to provide value-added services
  • Willingness to drive a personal motor vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups in variable weather conditions
  • No direct reports (supervision requirement)
  • Ability to work daily outside the office in an assigned territory visiting customers

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary owner of customer relationships, selling and engaging customers in value-added activities
  • Leverage resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings
  • Cover for Territory Managers while they work on other projects (as Territory Manager Market Support)
  • Nurture existing accounts and hunt for new business to drive case growth and sales success
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customers
  • Manage time and territory effectively
  • Collaborate with Specialists for top penetration and new accounts, and work with marketing, supply chain, and customer service for seamless delivery
  • Identify prospective customers using market intelligence, directories, leads, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences
  • Manage deliveries to transportation routing schedules and troubleshoot order issues
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors; share information with customers
  • Conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction using personal vehicle
