As a Territory Business Manager for our Advanced Surgery division, you will represent Baxter with confidence, leveraging your deep understanding of our surgical products and their value to patients. You will build trust and establish strong relationships with doctors and nurses, acting as the primary connection to healthcare professionals who rely on our solutions. Your role involves promoting our hemostats, sealing, and tissue products within an assigned geography to meet clinical and economic needs, enabling surgical teams to innovate freely in the operating room. We are looking for individuals who take personal accountability for achieving results and can excel at every stage of the customer's buying process.

Territory Coverage

  • Metro Phoenix area (Central and East Valley)
  • Northern Arizona

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quotas through the direct sale of all products and services.
  • Grow awareness and educate physicians on the accurate use of products in on-label surgical procedures, highlighting features and benefits.
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect.
  • Meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Monitor sales against forecasts and contribute to determining market potential for the territory.
  • Understand sales strategies and tactics in the marketplace and be aware of the competition.
  • Coordinate with hospital administration, supply chain management, materials management, and purchasing.
  • Demonstrate support for other people and teams, participating and contributing to efforts beyond your immediate scope.
  • Provide feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing programs, recommended products, product line revisions, and pricing changes.
  • Work autonomously to achieve established goals while proactively communicating remotely with management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years of operating room sales experience.
  • High School degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience with hospital-based selling in the operating room.
  • Proven experience leading a large territory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and social skills.
  • Ability to travel at least 50%, potentially visiting remote or urban areas individually or with other personnel.
