Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical documentation, publishing, or content engineering. Experience with various publishing formats such as HTML, XML, JSON, and Office documents is essential, along with familiarity with content management systems (TMS) like Aegisub and experience with localization tools. Strong understanding of markup languages like Markdown and JSON is required, as well as proficiency in using image editing software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

The Technical Publication Engineer will be responsible for generating and exporting source files for localized technical documentation, configuring and executing publish transforms to build formatted outputs in various target types, evaluating source files and preparing them for translation, creating translation projects in TMS platforms, developing translated assets, validating syntax and fixing errors in localized files, creating local-language packages, and performing side-by-side QA of source-language and local-language output to identify errors and implement fixes.
