Requirements

8-12 years Android development experience (Application, Services, HAL, BSP specific to Audio)
Expertise in OOP concepts
Expertise in Java, C, C++ development (Kotlin an advantage)
Expertise in Android Framework API & Automotive Audio Framework usage
Expertise in Android AOSP build system
Proficiency in audio design/architecture on multiple platforms
Hands-on experience with industry-leading SoCs in automotive sector
In-depth knowledge of standard and time & safety critical audio features
Strong knowledge of Android Audio Framework, audio policy manager, audio flinger, Android HAL, media server, and audio server
Proficient in leading designs meeting Android Auto and CarPlay certifications
In-depth design knowledge on audio routing, echo canceller integration, DSP driver, A2B driver, Class D/AB amplifier drivers
Good knowledge of Android development and debugging tools
Good knowledge of audio architecture design in hypervisor-based systems
Strong record in product launch experience
Good to have: Knowledge of creating detailed SW architecture, requirements, and design documents
Good to have: Knowledge of UNIX and Linux
Decision-making abilities at architecture level and providing proposals to customers
Experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum processes
Ability to lead team and handle customer milestones technically
Experience realizing KPIs per Apple (CarPlay), Google (Android Auto), and Amazon (Alexa) requirements
Experience in certification of infotainment products (APQM, ITUT, Audio Tuning)
Skills for analyzing and fixing issues in Android Framework or service layer
Proficiency in tools: GIT, Gerrit, JIRA, Polarion, Confluence, Android Studio, VSCode, Enterprise Architect (UML), VMWare, Coverity
Knowledge of Google Test Framework and Android testing frameworks (Junit, Mockito)
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with complete ownership
Good team player following agile methodologies in SW development lifecycle
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Highly self-motivated and energetic
B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics/Communication/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science with >60% aggregate from Class X to UG/PG

Responsibilities

Analyzing customer requirements and converting them into design and code
