Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation practices (preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of Banking procedures and regulations
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience (preferred)
  • Related Industry qualification or studying towards (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Focus on resolution of complex transactions interpreting policies, guidelines and/or processes
  • Identify and document new procedures and controls
  • Provide on-the-job technical training and coaching for analysts
  • Provide input to process changes which would result in greater operational efficiency
  • Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • Direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • Manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (not a formal management role)
  • Facilitate discussions and reach decisions
