Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ of post-qualification experience with a U.S. accounting firm, along with attention to detail in preparing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns and experience with High Net-Worth Taxation. They should possess strong command of the English language, a commitment to an entrepreneurial work ethic, and the ability to analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations, as well as familiarity with Installment sales, sale of home, PTP Basis calculation, Hedge fund K-1s, medium to complex returns, and International Forms (8938, 5471, 8621, 5472, 8858, 8865).
Responsibilities
The Tax - Associate II will oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries, manage the day-to-day delivery of tax services to the Domestic (US) engagement teams, and serve as the go-to person in their respective core area of 1040 Tax Compliance. They will utilize technical skillsets such as SurePrep, CCH / GoSystems / Fasttax / Lacerte Software, and BNA, alongside research skills from Checkpoint, BNA, Bloomberg, and will prepare written tax research memos, as well as handle Gift Tax Returns and Form 990 when necessary.
