Responsibilities

  • Support product development efforts by performing systems engineering tasks such as investigating, defining, analyzing, documenting, and testing activities for specific projects
  • Perform additional analysis and/or interviews to determine requirements and constraints on assigned system portions
  • Resolve cross-functional issues
  • Lead/own pre-defined tasks within larger efforts (e.g., definition, verification, or product development of a sub-system) and drive them to on-time, high-quality completion
  • Investigate and define system requirements for new algorithms
  • Facilitate transition of algorithms into new projects through clinical review and evaluation
  • Assess clinical and system risks of new algorithms and features, and identify potential interactions with existing ones
  • Work with field and medical personnel to define benchmarks for evaluating clinical performance of new algorithms
  • Gather and analyze input requirements for medical devices, supporting instrumentation/service infrastructure, and translate into specific system requirements/interface specifications
  • Participate in broad cross-functional review of work output
  • Update and maintain feature specifications for one major project and support one or more minor projects
  • Simulate or test aspects of new projects or algorithms to evaluate prototypes and validate output
  • Routinely use the most effective, cost-efficient, and best practices to execute processes
