  • Strong proficiency in Structured Cabling: Fiber, copper, AOC, power distribution, patch panels
  • Strong proficiency in Automation: Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Python and related tools
  • Strong proficiency in Network Appliances: Firewalls, load balancers, packet sniffers
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure Services: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, Authentication, Active Directory, LDAP
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends for change control windows and critical incident response

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support engineering projects across WAN, LAN, and data center environments
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for high-priority operational issues
  • Develop and maintain engineering work orders (EWOs) and configuration templates
  • Create bills of materials (BOMs) and coordinate hardware procurement with suppliers
  • Perform advanced (Level 4) troubleshooting for routing, hardware, circuit, bug, and performance issues
  • Deliver technical presentations on emerging technologies and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Escalate and communicate effectively with leadership during critical incidents
  • Ensure compliance with GM’s engineering standards and change management protocols
