Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline, and have ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise, or five (5) years of full-time computer science work that can be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree, along with ten (10) years of demonstrable experience. A TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph is required, and U.S. citizenship is also necessary. An industry-recognized professional certification, such as RHCSA or VMWare certification, may substitute for one year of experience.
The System Administrator 4 (HPC) will install, configure, and network hardware and software systems, create and modify user accounts, perform system backups, maintain system configuration files, and develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies. They will also provide support for enterprise services including DNS, NFS, e-mail services, security protection mechanisms, and the interoperability of UNIX and NT based systems, as well as troubleshoot and maintain the overall health and status of the IT infrastructure, and support SGI IRIX based operating systems, SGI systems, Network Appliance clustered servers, and multivendor clustered filesystems.
