Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, SAE J3061) throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Assess and enhance functional safety of software components in automotive environments
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to integrate functional safety requirements into embedded systems design
  • Participate in the design and development of safety-critical algorithms using rigorous engineering practices
  • Conduct algorithm SW maturity assessments and fault analysis, implementing corrective actions
  • Define and document safety requirements for software components and systems
  • Establish traceability between safety requirements and system-level requirements for verification and validation
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to functional safety activities
  • Engage with internal/external stakeholders to communicate safety information and address concerns
  • Act as a subject matter expert on functional safety, providing guidance for compliance and decision-making
