Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in visual effects for live action feature films or television, holding a Bachelor's degree in Digital Arts or an equivalent experience. They must demonstrate a clear understanding of color space, shading, lighting, and rendering methodologies, along with detail-oriented skills both creatively and technically. Proficiency in learning and adapting to new workflows and methods, completing tasks within production schedules, and responding effectively to feedback is essential. Experience with Mari and Maya is required, alongside familiarity with Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Nuke, and digital photography is also necessary.
The Surfacing/Lookdev Artist will create photorealistic textures, both hand-painted and from set photography, to a high level of detail for hero CG assets. They will assemble these textures into a shading network, adjusting the lookdev to accurately match references, and collaborate with artists and supervisors in modeling, shading, and lighting. The role involves working independently on defined tasks while maintaining collaboration with the team and completing tasks within production schedules and deadlines.
