Position Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for supporting various supply chain functions, including logistics, and the procurement of food and packaging, with a focus on weekend and Wednesday night coverage.

Responsibilities

• Integrate within the Tovala Supply Chain team to provide support and coverage for logistics, food, packaging, and demand planning teams.
• Communicate any shortages or delays in product arrival that may impact the production schedule.
• Strategize recovery plans with the Operations team to expedite shipments or find alternative solutions with minimal impact on production.
• Follow up on inbound delivery delays and communicate updated timelines to the Operations team.
• Place Purchase Orders for shortages identified by the Operations team.
• Work closely with the Inventory and Production teams across all facilities.
• Monitor weekend linehaul pickups to ensure timely departures and confirm that loads are arriving on time and in good condition.
• Collaborate closely with freight brokers and carriers to keep shipments on track and resolve any delivery or pickup issues.
• Monitor reefer trailer temperatures and escalate any temperature spikes.
• Monitor driver locations and escalate if drivers are stationary at a location for an extended period.
• Track deliveries to verify linehaul trailer arrivals at receivers and confirm that service cuts are met.
• Support and communicate with warehouse teams to address any operational challenges encountered over the weekend.
• Escalate supply issues to the wider team as required.

About You

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of procurement, logistics, transportation workflows, and other supply chain functions.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and eager to learn new software tools.
