Requirements

High school diploma/GED required; Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
1 year experience in automotive manufacturing/battery automotive quality role preferred
6 months of experience in SAP/ERP systems preferred
Familiarity with key performance indicators of a quality department
Proven track record of excellent verbal and written communication
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work overtime as needed
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs
Reasoning ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Great communication and presentation skills
Computer skills: Knowledge of SAP Inventory software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to stand for long periods, including during operation of stand-up lifts
Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Wear all PPE (including electrical PPE) as required
Support 5S/Housekeeping activities

Responsibilities

Provide support in quality of incoming material received from external suppliers
Submit lab work orders of supplied components to be measured in lab and processed in a timely manner
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
Utilize SAP to submit purchase requisitions and confirm inventories
Open new sort projects and aid in creation of work instructions for sorts
Collaborate with 3rd party sort groups to ensure timely product sort, error proofing, clean points, etc. are successfully executed and communicated
Prioritize necessary sorts to support delivery of components to machining/assembly line
Attend daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
Create complaints on purchased materials (CPMs) within internal tracking system to ensure timely communication to key stakeholders and escalate if supplier is non-compliant
Create debits within BW Internal SPS
Accurate use of handheld gages (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Responsible for part gathering, obtaining supplier RMA number, sort data, packaging, and shipping components to suppliers
PPAP support
Attend daily operations meetings as required
Other clerical, document creation, minimal technical, and assistant type duties
Audit task performance to standards
Other duties as assigned
Comply with safety policies and procedures
