Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of related experience (or combination of education, experience, and time in field; internal candidates may have tailored requirements based on demonstrated skills)
  • Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and processes
  • Minimum understanding of GD&T and part specification drawings reading
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment
  • Physical capability for walking, standing, sitting, using a computer, office equipment, inspecting, qualifying, troubleshooting, and improving jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods
  • Ability to work individually with prolonged focus on written material, collaboratively in teams of various disciplines, and in multiple software systems
  • Willingness to travel less than 40%

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with updating and maintaining supplier controls regarding quality and compliance for incoming raw materials and services
  • Supporting and providing guidance to Inspectors with part inspection requirements
  • Performing verification of supplier-related quality issues against defined criteria and preparing paperwork necessary to return material
  • Receiving and reviewing nonconforming material reports to ensure material is properly identified and packaged to maintain integrity until dispositioned
  • Executing site containment actions for supplier quality-related issues
  • Supporting the collection of supplier quality performance information to monitor supplier performance
  • Disposition and coordination of purge screening activities with supplier/3rd party
  • Supporting the Nonconforming Material disposition process
