Requirements

  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines: Fluorescent Penetrant Testing, Fluorescent Penetrant Processing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy-Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Wet Etch, and X-Ray
  • Knowledge and skills in NDT for turbine engine components, abiding by National Aerospace Standard 410
  • Ability to exercise privileges of company certifications under guidance of NDT Manager and Responsible Level III
  • Supervisory experience leading a team of qualified NDT technicians
  • Proficiency with computer software programs for assigning, verifying, tracking, and monitoring metrics and job assignments
  • Availability for 3rd Shift (Sun-Thur)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team in NDT disciplines during assigned shift
  • Ensure scheduled work is executed safely and systematically, meeting quality standards
  • Monitor work completion, review jobs/projects for adherence to work scope, quality expectations, and labor factors
  • Follow established safety protocols and ensure compliance with company safety policies
  • Constantly monitor and adjust job assignments to meet production schedule, partnering with scheduling and planning; analyze labor factors daily
  • Utilize computer software for assigning, verifying, tracking, and monitoring metrics and job assignments
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired results
  • Supervise preparation, processing, and inspecting of parts in various repair stages using NDT methods
