Requirements

  • Expertise in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines: Fluorescent Penetrant Testing, Fluorescent Penetrant Processing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy-Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Wet Etch, and X-Ray
  • Knowledge and skills abiding by National Aerospace Standard 410 for turbine engine components in the aerospace industry or similar field
  • Ability to exercise privileges of company certifications under guidance of NDT Manager and assistance from Responsible Level III
  • Supervisory experience leading a highly experienced NDT team
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer software programs and applications for assigning, verifying, tracking, and monitoring metrics and job assignments
  • Availability for 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team in NDT disciplines, ensuring scheduled work is executed safely and systematically
  • Monitor completion of work and confirm quality standards are met
  • Supervise preparation, processing, and inspecting of parts in various stages of repair using NDT methods
  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor assigned work and review completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work scope, company expectations, quality standards, and labor factor adherence
  • Constantly monitor and adjust job assignments to meet production schedule in partnership with scheduling and planning department; review productivity via daily analysis of labor factors
  • Utilize computer software programs for assigning, verifying, tracking, and monitoring metrics and job assignments
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired results
