Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent 6 years experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience in Shared Service Centers
  • B2+ English Level. Fluent in English written and spoken
  • MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Excel intermediate
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Profound understanding of accounts payable procedures, platforms, and accepted practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and at least one ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards and/or Mainframe)
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, demonstrating acute attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating successfully with multifaceted teams and outside suppliers
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Direct and guide the Accounts Payable Team, delivering mentorship, instruction, and assistance to foster strong performance and personal advancement
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payments
  • Supervise the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and address any discrepancies or problems
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, and resolving payment-related issues
  • Maintain engagement and communication via phone, email, chat or any other means, with internal and external customers involved in the processes
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement standard methodologies
  • Collaborate with other departments, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required
  • Spearhead continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing the accounts payable function's efficiency and effectiveness
