This is a hybrid position to support the Vermont Department of Health.
A Bachelor’s or nursing degree or EMT/death investigation certificate is required (Master’s preferred in nursing, public health, or related field), along with quantitative analysis skills and experience with SAS or R, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom.
The role requires the ability to work independently and within a team environment, including experience in virtual settings with remote partners, epidemiologists, vital records offices, medical examiners, coroners, forensic centers, and law enforcement.
Strong candidates will have a relevant degree or certification, experience with statistical software like SAS or R, emotional resilience for handling sensitive data, and proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and build relationships in virtual team settings.
