Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s retail business and excel in a management role
  • Lead amongst the team, identify and work towards store priorities, and deliver great guest service
  • Drive guest experience and impact store’s financial, team, and operational performance
  • Work alongside a mentor, learn effective department leadership, and step into leading mentor’s departments with guidance
  • Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and support execution of daily operations
  • Build team culture and guide team to grow and achieve goals
  • Spend time on the store salesfloor and backroom leading amongst team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities
  • Learn guest service fundamentals, guest engagement, problem-solving, and resolution
  • Understand retail business fundamentals
  • Set and plan department(s) monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and manage team to deliver service and sales goals
  • Manage a team of hourly team members and team leaders while creating business strategies and goals
  • Handle recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
