Student in higher education Bac +5, specialized in European affairs, public finances, finance/accounting, or business school
Knowledge or interest in public entities, public financing, and institutional partners (e.g., public accounting, public procurement, and related case law)
Interest in auditing and controlling expenditures from public/national/European funders
Experience with public or European funding programs (plus: Interreg, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, FEDER, FSE)
Knowledge or interest in preparing and processing applications for public funding
Rigorous, with initiative, efficient, able to work autonomously and in a team
Able to organize according to priorities
Rigorous in following defined methodologies
Responsibilities
Analyze the constitution of financial participation request files, main implementation deadlines, and compliance with financing terms
Control beneficiary declaration modalities
Verify the application of organizations' internal processes
Confirm expense eligibility, i.e., compliance with current European and national rules
Ensure compliance with contractual rules (application form and annexes, grant contract, agreement, etc.)
Verify proper recording of invoices, proof of payment, and all other supporting documents
Reconcile declared costs with related activities, proper execution of subcontracted services and deliverables
Ensure compliance with national and community rules, particularly on information and publicity, public procurement, state aid, equal opportunities, and environmental protection
Conduct on-site visits if required for controls and verify the physical reality of funded projects or actions
