The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 per year.
The position is based in Washington, DC and requires daily reporting from the Capitol.
The role requires excellent news judgment, superior writing and reporting skills, a strong record of breaking news and developing sources, and experience covering Congress strongly preferred.
You will join a team of reporters covering congressional leadership, factions, caucuses, and group dynamics in a newsroom that produces journalism for two websites, a newspaper, and dozens of newsletters, serving a sophisticated audience with unbiased, impartial congressional news.
All applicants must submit four published writing samples from newspapers, news websites or news magazines that demonstrate reporting and writing ability, along with a note about your work explaining what sets it apart and what it illustrates about your approach to journalism.
