Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a strong understanding of compiler design and systems engineering principles. Experience with Swift and Chromium is highly desirable, and familiarity with cross-platform development is beneficial.
As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will spearhead technical projects for the Swift compiler and toolchain, focusing on improving performance and stability across various platforms including Windows. This involves porting existing frameworks, fixing bugs, maintaining support for new platforms like Windows ARM64 and Android, and building a macOS toolchain for CI testing. Additionally, you will contribute to the open-source community by upstreaming your work and monitoring builds to identify and resolve failures within the Swift CI system.
