Requirements

  • Experience with object-oriented programming, particularly Java 11+ and Spring Boot framework
  • Expertise in building highly-scalable, highly-available, cloud-native applications on AWS, adhering to 12-factor principles and microservices architecture
  • Proficiency with cloud-related tools and distributed system observability, such as Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, log management systems, and Datadog APM
  • Knowledge of API specifications conforming to OpenAPI (Swagger) standards
  • Experience working with SQL and large SQL databases, including their limitations
  • Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Docker
  • Proficiency in testing approaches including TDD, BDD, Contract Testing (e.g., PACT), using frameworks like JUnit, RSpec, and Cucumber
  • Experience with Agile development, preferably aligned with Spotify Squads and Tribes model
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub PR processes

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain an industry-leading API handling high-volume cross-border transactions
  • Take responsibility for services and technology within a cross-functional team
  • Work on building new parts of the Treasury stack, focusing on high availability, cloud-native, and microservice concepts
  • Act as Lead Engineer in the squad, leading discussions on technical direction and systems design
  • Mentor more junior members of the team
  • Ensure clear ownership of your domain and contribute to a clean modern codebase
  • Leverage independent path to production with strong platform and product support to deliver real business value
