Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, with at least 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in programming languages like Java, Golang, Python, and scripting languages like Typescript or Shell scripting
  • Proficiency in using Kafka, SQL/No-SQL databases, Elastic Search, Distributed Caching like Memcache/Redis etc
  • Deep understanding of Unix/Linux system internals, file systems, server protocols, networking concepts, troubleshooting
  • Extensive experience in developing tools to manage large enterprise applications infrastructure, tracing issues with 100s of applications, realtime monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to all aspects of development of (but not limited to) Policy Manager which is AI driven platform that provides governance and control of changes that are going into production
  • Manage on-call rotations to monitor and minimize Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for SRE services
  • Develop and scale server clusters through automation, containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring systems
  • Drive service reliability by establishing and maintaining critical Operational Indicators (SLIs and SLOs), setting alert guidelines, and ensuring error budgets are managed proactively
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to diagnose, investigate, fix, and prevent complex outages and issues stemming from large-scale distributed systems
  • Design, build, and maintain tools to improve performance, latency, availability, scalability, and overall system reliability of our applications and services
  • Regularly conduct root-cause analyses, capacity planning, software performance analysis, and system tuning to prevent future issues and ensure seamless scalability
