Candidates are required to possess a minimum of 7 years of related work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent work experience. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code products and principles, and experience working with version control software like GitHub and issue/project tracking software like Jira are considered beneficial.
The Staff Security Engineer will design, develop, and deploy scalable automation strategies to secure systems, products, networks, and Disney content, while managing, maintaining, documenting, training on, and improving Information Security tools within the DE&ET environment. They will research and introduce technologies to improve the DE&ET information security posture, collaborate with partner teams on security needs, follow secure coding practices, develop and maintain code branches, assist with Incident Response as an escalation resource, and establish procedures for protecting assets and safeguarding accounts. Furthermore, the role involves guiding and training junior engineers in security strategy, policy, and response, and implementing mechanisms to protect physical, digital, and media assets.
