Requirements

5+ years of demonstrated proficiency in at least one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, or similar)
Degree in or experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering
Strong understanding of database design and modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL)
Proven track record developing scalable systems and RESTful services
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
Understanding of automated testing, deployment processes, and tools
Bias toward action - iteratively creating solutions and deploying to production frequently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work hybrid in our NYC or SF offices

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, robust APIs in Golang that power our main applications
Develop and optimize data pipelines to process, analyze, and deliver critical business insights
Enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation across the team
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in both development and production environments
Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for our backend ecosystem
Be diligent, curious, and take complete ownership of your code end-to-end with a clear sense of urgency
Leverage data-driven insights to refine system performance and functionality
Drive data-informed decisions by leveraging analytics to refine system performance
Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to shape innovative features
