Requirements

Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, hold an active and unrestricted medical license in at least 15-20 states, and demonstrate a strong understanding of medical statutes, regulations, and protocols. Prior experience in providing direct patient care, including prescribing, treatment planning, and interpreting test results, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Physician will provide direct patient care by prescribing, creating, monitoring, and supporting treatment plans, issuing medication prescriptions, ordering laboratory tests, interpreting results, and educating patients about medications and risks. They will communicate with patients, refer patients to specialized care when necessary, maintain medical records, and offer empathetic and judgment-free care. Additionally, the physician will cover critical outreach shifts, provide remote monitoring support, reach out to members identified by protocols, prescribe rescue medications, and support interviewing and hiring of new clinical staff, creating training materials, and conducting clinical audits.
