Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state where they will be working. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work effectively with diverse patient populations.
The Staff Pharmacist will counsel patients on their medication needs, accurately process prescription orders, and administer immunizations as appropriate. They will also maintain confidential patient information, manage controlled medications, and adhere to all required documentation procedures. Furthermore, they will contribute to community outreach and wellness events, model proper customer service techniques for pharmacy staff, and utilize data and personal conversations to understand community health concerns and stay updated on emergent health issues.
